In every world a certain type of alien has conquered it, the types of aliens: Sweetie (Overworld), the Sibylussian (Underground), the Plays (Sky) and Titans (The Hunter), in each and every world, will see miniature forms of the particular alien type (i.e. with you in one of the stages of the Overworld then you will see smaller shapes of the cutie until you get to the stage and battle the boss in Overworld that it is the cute commander of all the Muddies and that is that way for all other worlds) After the player has finished the last world and defeated the last type of alien (the Titans), he will see an alien spacecraft in which he flew into space with it to end all of this. Since he defeated all types of aliens then in the final stages there will be no aliens, it's just weapons and obstacles that the alien king/commander, the Q, the most powerful and greatest alien type in the entire alien world that he's the one who caused all this alien invasion and is the commander and king of all kinds of aliens, and there's only one of him. In short, after a few steps, the player comes to the boss fight against the Q and then defeats him and the whole world is saved and then parties are celebrated all over the world that this whole thing is over, even if millions have died from the alien invasion. And then there are celebrations and parties and happy parties.
